Brief History
The TESDA Provincial Training Center - Cadiz was established in 1994 and started its operation in 1995. It is situated in the Northern part of Negros Occidental at Brgy. Cabahug, Cadiz City, a 72 km away from Bacolod City. It is located further at the territorial boundary of Cadiz City and Sagay City. It is a 12 km distance from Cadiz City proper and it occupies less than two (2) hectares lot acquired thru Deed of Donation from spouses Remo B. Ramos and Honey Panganiban on 24th day of November 1994. It has three (3) buildings, concrete structured, typical and well ventilated design with colored roofing and composed of the following:

Automotive technology workshop/bldg. covered by 315 square meters floor area with built-in tool room, supply room and comfort room and a 90 square meters floor area is the Admin office with comfort room together with 135 square meters floor area, a stock room at mezzanine, these are situated in one building.

Welding technology workshop/bldg. occupies 348 square meters floor area, and has 12 sets welding machine/booth and a provision for exhaust system with installed blower and exhaust industrial fan, built-in tool/supply room and comfort room

Electrical technology workshop/bldg. with 260 square meters floor area, and has a built-in tool room, supply room and comfort room.

To include 2x1.8 square meters Guard House, concrete structured water tank provision inside the compound, wireless internet connection and telephone.
Our Mandate
The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is the government agency tasked to manage and supervise technical education and skills development (TESD) in the Philippines. It was created by virtue of Republic Act 7796, otherwise known as the “Technical Education and Skills Development Act of 1994”. The said Act integrated the functions of the former National Manpower and Youth Council (NMYC), the Bureau of Technical-Vocational Education of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (BTVE-DECS) and the Office of Apprenticeship of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
